Why should we care about climate change?

As human beings, we are wired to care. We care for our loved ones, our jobs, our grades, our relationships, and most importantly, our future. Because of climate change, the planet is warming: we know this with absolute certainty. With this warming comes major changes - changes that have the potential to threaten our loved ones, our relationships, and our future. So why should we care? Well, because our future is on the line. As the Earth heats up, people across the globe, and right here in Mississippi, experience more intense flooding events, droughts, and hurricanes. The worst part is that the most vulnerable amongst us - children, the elderly, and the poor - face the biggest danger from these extreme weather events.
